We design each session as a true creative collaboration. Here’s what to expect:
1. The Planning Session
It starts with a free consultation to get to know you and your family. We talk about your interests, your vision, and how you want to be remembered. We’ll explore location ideas, browse wardrobe options from our curated Client Closet, and schedule your session. Want professional hair and makeup? We can schedule that in-studio too, so you can arrive feeling confident and camera-ready.
2. The Portrait Session
This is where your story comes to life. Most sessions begin in the studio, where we use sculpted lighting and expert posing guidance to create traditional or fine art portraits. Then, if you’d like a second look, we head on location—downtown Colorado Springs, up into the mountains for an Adventure Session, or somewhere that’s special to you.
3. The Selection Appointment
About a week later, you’ll come back for your Selection Appointment. We’ll show you the best images from your session, and you’ll choose your favorites for final retouching. This is also where we help you decide how you want to enjoy your portraits. From dramatic wall art to folio boxes imported from Ireland and custom leather-bound albums (digital files included), we’ll guide you through your options—so you leave with artwork that feels as unforgettable as the experience itself.

Studio Portraits
Our studio senior sessions offer a refined, controlled environment where the focus is entirely on you. With expert lighting, curated backdrops, and access to our Client Closet—filled with hand-selected wardrobe options and unique props—we can create timeless, fine art portraits that highlight your personality and style. On-Location / Environmental Portraits
Environmental sessions bring your story to life by placing you in a location that adds mood, context, and emotion to your senior portraits. Whether it’s a meaningful spot—like a family ranch, a hiking trail, or an urban alley—or a dramatic location we select together, the setting becomes part of your narrative. You’ll also have access to our Client Closet, with a wide array of wardrobe and prop options to help you look and feel your best outdoors. From mountain overlooks to city streets, we’ll create portraits that reflect your individuality and sense of adventure.
